MOgene, LC, a leading genomics service provider headquartered in St. Louis, MO, announced today the offering of new extra-long reads on Roche's 454 GS FLX+ next generation sequencing platform. MOgene is one of the first companies in the USA to offer this long read sequencing upgrade which delivers millions of bases from high-quality, Sanger-length reads. MOgene personnel have been trained by Roche's technical personnel on instrument and protocols upgrades to have this offering in effect immediately.

Rangwala further mentioned that the results from initial sequencing runs confirm what 454 has stated in their press releases of longer, high quality reads.
